To answer your question about Trenary Toast... It orginates from Trenary MI. Which is located in the U.P.
It is extreamly hard toast with a cinnamon sugar coating on them. I have only tried it once and not fond of how hard it is but from what my Brother-in-Law says it is great to dunk in your morning coffee.

A new pasty convert by: Jodie
I tried a pasty for the first time. A yopper friend had me try one. I had the breakfast sausage pasty, and it was delicious and filling. I will definitely be back to try all the different kinds. They offer sampler sizes which is a great way to try each kind. It was neat to look around the shop at the U.P. items. What the heck is Trenary toast? Just another food to try out.

Very Good by: L Johnson
Hello,
Just had to write and let you all know about the great pasty I had last week at the Pasty Koop. I was thinking they might not be as good as in the past due to the new owners but I guess Mike knew who to past on the business to. I have been going there for about 3 years and have aways enjoyed the food as well as the the U.P. hospitality. And it looks like it will always be there now. The two people that purchased the business are just as nice as Mike. So if you get hungry and want a meal that is filling and inexpesive stop by there. Will miss seeing Mike there. But look forward to seeing the new owners. GREAT JOB KEEP UP THE TRADITION
