Why an Upper Michigan Beach Vacation?

There is not one ideal Upper Michigan Beach Vacation. There are so many beaches in Michigan to choose from. Like the 100's of inland lakes and rivers, to 3 out of the 5 Great Lakes… Lake Michigan, Lake Huron, and Lake Superior. There is nothing to compare to an Upper Michigan Vacation on the beach. I don’t get up there enough, but when I lived in the U.P., I was a avid camper, and enjoyed every minute spent camping at the many inland lakes, as well as along the shores of Lake Michigan and Lake Superior. On my last trip to the U.P., I revisited several of my favorite campgrounds. All very rustic, but so peaceful and relaxing.
But not all your camping choices have to be so rustic. You can still enjoy the great outdoors, and have many of the comforts of home. There are several Michigan State Campgrounds to choose from that will fulfil your beach vacation and that have several modern conviences, eletrical plug-ins, water hook-up, waste water disposel, and showers.
If camping is not your thing and you prefer to stay in a Cabin or Hotel on the beach there are several to choose from. Cabins are avaiable to rent by the day, week, or month.
