Casual dining, great food and a wonderful atmosphere.Whenever I visit Escanaba, Michigan I make plans to dine here and the one thing on the menu I absolutely love is the ravioli stuffed with portabella mushrooms. But they do make a killer steak. Stonehouse 2223 Ludington St. (906) 786-5003 Located on the main corner of Escanaba, Michigan. This is another wonderful place to dine when visiting. I have not dined here as often, but all my experiences have been great. Although it is one of Jim's and his family’s favorite places to eat. to quote Jim “The best perch ever". Fine dining in a casual atmosphere. Reservations are suggested. Lunch 11a-2p Mon-Fri... Dinner 5p-9:30p Mon-Thurs... Fri & Sat 5p-10p Swedish Pantry 819 Ludington St. (906) 786-9606 We love this Escanaba Restaurant. Breakfast or Lunch this is one you must visit. Locater downtown, it is close to shopping and Ludington. So after you are done enjoying the food you can take a walk to the park or check out some of the shops near by. Rosy's Diner 1313 Ludington St. (906) 786-1983 What about Rosy? She is a wonderful person and it is always a joy to dine with her. If you are looking for wonderful home cooking while away from home this is the place. We always stop in when we are visiting. Rosy always puts a smile on our face, and a great meal in front of it. If you have not already seen Escanaba in da Moonlight be sure too Rosy's diner is featured in it.

Family Inn 6380 N.11th st. (US2, 41, M35 across from Super 8) (906) 786-6774 Breakfast served all day. Another wonderful home cookin Escanaba Restaurant. Featuring homemade soups, breads and pies. Thursdays and Saturday enjoy all you can eat family style chicken dinners and Friday’s fish fry w/salad bar. Banquet room-seats 40 great for showers, rehearsal dinners and parties. Log Cabin Grille & Bistro 7525 US2, 41 & M35 (906) 786-5621 It has been a few years since we have eaten here, and we did enjoy ourselves. We believe that it has changed hands and was remodeled since our last dining experience. So we are sure to check into this on our next visit. Ferdinand's Mexican Restaurant 1318 Ludington St. (906) 786-8484 Wonderful Mexican food in the Heart of Michigan's Upper Peninsula. When I still lived in Escanaba we were frequent diners here. It is like a mini vacation getaway. Wonderful surroundings, great atmosphere and a super staff is all the makings you need to have a wonderful dining experience. Elmer’s Restaurant 200 N. Lincoln Rd. (906) 786-3286 This has to be the first Escanaba Restaurant I ever ate at. One I eat at every time I visit. Truly wonderful home cooking and great hometown staff. Be sure to tell Louie (one of the best cooks) that we sent you. Hereford & Hops Steakhouse & Brew Pub 624 Ludington St. (906) 789-1945 Upper Michigan’s first "Grill your own" restaurant. Wow we did not realize that ;-) Homemade pizza and Friday night fish fry. I have been here once or twice, and that was well before I moved to Kentucky. This will be another one We will have to be sure to visit next time we go to Escanaba, Michigan. Reservations recommended.Mon-Sat 11a-10pSun 4p-9p Historic House of Ludington 223 Ludington St. (906) 786-6300 The oldest Escanaba restaurant/hotel in says it all. They used to have a special dinner and a movie. We will check into that and see if they still offer it. I took advantage of this special several times. Not only was the food very good it was the perfect opportunity for me to spend an affordable night with each one of my three daughters.
